Student Volunteers Needed - 36th Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival

The Almaden Valley Women's Club (AVWC) is looking for student volunteers to assist with the upcoming 36th Annual Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival.  The Festival will once again be held at the beautiful Almaden Lake Park on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 10:00AM – 6:00PM. The AVWC relies on the support of volunteers to make this popular community event a continued success.

Community service hours will be awarded to qualifying youth volunteers. Students must be at least 14 years old to participate.  A commitment to working a minimum 4 hour shift is required.  Students may choose to work the full day to earn up to 12 community service hours. Volunteer assignments are available throughout the day of the festival and include set up, deliveries, clean up and staffing the children’s area (games, crafts and attractions).

Interested students may view the requirements and access the online application at: http://www.almadenwine.org/svolunteers.htm.

Additional questions can also be sent to our Volunteer Chairwoman at: volunteers@almadenwine.org.

Almaden Lake Park is easily accessible by VTA light rail and bus service and the Los Alamitos Creek Trail.  Limited parking will be available at Almaden Lake Park for a fee.  Alternate parking free parking will be available close to the park at the Santa Clara Valley Water District on Almaden Expressway and the VTA Almaden Light Rail Station on Coleman Avenue.

The annual Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival has been orchestrated by the Almaden Valley Women's Club since 1965. The Club, a 501 (c) 3 organization, is committed to serving the needs of the Almaden community and those of greater San Jose, through proceeds from the festival.
