Spring has arrived and with it the annual Scholarship & Grant Awards presentations by the Almaden Valley Women’s Club (AVWC). The May meeting will be held at the Almaden Community Center, Community Room on Tuesday, May 1 starting at 6:30 PM. These awards are made possible through the proceeds of the Almaden Art & Wine Festival, held annually at Almaden Lake Park. This year’s Festival date is September 16th.
The upcoming meeting will showcase the award winning students, non-profit organizations, announcing the Festival logo winner and displaying the winning artwork.
New members welcome! The Club is currently accepting local women to participate. The AVWC was organized in 1965. Club members coordinate and participate in the Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival, make new friends and attend social events and help make a difference in the Almaden Community.
